My Client, a leading IT service provider seeks a Sourcing Manager / Procurement Manager, from a strong IT Sourcing and Procurement Management background, ideally holding CIPS certification or studying towards. This position is based in Middlesex so also commutable from Surrey and Berkshire.

To fully support the relevant Business Unit (BU) and cover a number of major accounts and new business opportunities, managing these as part of the Sourcing team 3rd party spend. The role will support a BU which faces a number of key challenges, one of the key ones is the reduction if 3rd party expenditure, where a Sourcing 3rd party spend initiative plan has been developed and targeted savings identified. The person will work closely the Account Directors and management team to deliver the 3rd party cost reduction projects for 2009/10 ensuring that Sourcing are fully engaged on the transformation programmes currently being undertaken within the BU.
Provide sourcing input and support to major new business opportunities within the BU with considerable 3rd party supplier elements.
Candidates preferably will have worked in the government, defence, security industry before, but strong candidates from an IT sourcing background will be considered.
Work at the highest levels within the BU developing the required relationship with the senior management team within the BU to develop and deliver a Sourcing strategy that is fully aligned to the BU and delivers long term ongoing value from the supplier base. The individual will also ensure that the correct Sourcing governance processes are followed.
You will possess strong commercial and business acumen, proven negotiation skills, strong relationship management and interpersonal skills, and third party supplier management experience. Contract and legal knowledge. You will join my client's team and be responsible for supporting major competitive customer bid opportunities and managing all aspects of third party supplier requirements in support of the activity. In addition, you will manage supplier relationships across a number of existing key customer accounts, taking responsibility for SLA conformance and performance issues, identifying and delivering profit improvement related savings and contributing to the team targets.
