As a customer facing technical consultant you will hold a Cisco CCNP and ideally a CCIE. You will bring a comprehensive understanding of major data networking technologies and concepts. You will join a newly created team based in Peterborough or Hook.
The Principal Engineer is responsible for providing detailed network-centric design documentation to support B2B revenue growth, working with BSG, Service Provider TPS and Sales colleagues. The focus of the role is on supporting LAN opportunities.
You will be highly customer focused, taking responsibility for finding and documenting a solution that meets the customer need, solving problems, and is supportable by Business. You will have a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving.
-Collaborates well with colleagues, in particular Account Managers and other members of the Business Design Team.
-Deals with change well, particularly with changing customer requirements and rapid technology change.
-Ability to provide input into (and influence) engineering and operational colleagues.
-Highly skilled in data networking.
-Ability to product accurate and detailed technical documentation
Desirable skills include:
-Specialisms in Wireless, Security or Unified Communications.
-Ability to verbally articulate the technical design
