My Client, leading financial services provider, is looking to expand their development team and take on a Software Engineer that is enthusiastic about the financial markets.

This software development role is a hands-on position working within a senior team of software engineers and developers of excellent academic qualifications. You will be involved in the full software lifecycle within this role, from design, development and programming, to testing and fixing any reported issues. Development will be undertaken using a wide range of programming languages, in particular C#, Delphi, C++, Java, ASP.NET and JavaScript.

As well as having a strong interest in working within financial services industry and the enthusiasm to work within a team, the successful candidate will also display the following skills:

• At least a year of strong previous experience in a hands-on software development role, and a thorough knowledge and understanding of at least one of the following: C#, C++, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Delphi, HTML, etc.
• A good degree in a relevant discipline (Maths, Physics, Computer Science) from a top university. Candidates with Masters or PhDs in relevant subjects will be particularly highly regarded.
• An interest and aptitude to work in the financial services industry.
• An enthusiasm for software development and a strong desire to progress their career within it.
