 COGNOS Developer/Manager wanted for Data Team Location: East Midlands Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 Keywords: COGNOS, SAS, SQL, Teradata, Data Management, Data Analysis This Data Management team is looking to build a next generation platform by migrating its current information management system from SAS to COGNOS. The role sits in between the IT and business areas of the company and works closely with both the technical and more business focused units. Within this role you will ensure that the data environment is monitored and made as efficient as possible once the data has been collected and analysed. This will include providing support within the wider teams of the business, improving on the coding processes in the data management team and interacting with internal and external stakeholders. To apply for this role you must have the following: - Previous experience of COGNOS within a commercial environment (Modules - framework, transformer and DMR). Candidates with experience of Teradata will be held with particularly high regard.
- A strong understanding of any of the following programming languages: SAS, SQL, Unix
- Commercial experience working within a heavily data-focused environment, with understanding of data modelling and reporting or data analysis.
- Either previous experience working within the finance industry or a strong enthusiasm to progress into this sector.
- A degree from a good university, preferably in a numerate discipline.
