Embedded C/Assembler - Warks Warwickshire £30-40k + overtime + bonus Due to company growth, this leading name engineering company are looking for a senior level embedded software engineer to join their design and development teams. You will act as a consultant, being the initial point of contact for new customer projects and providing a technical focal point for projects. Because of the nature of this company's work, you will have exposure to a variety of clients within safety-critical, telecoms, industrial and other embedded application areas. The ideal candidate will have strong C/Assembler skills, and ideally exposure to a variety of electronics 'niches' as outlined above (however, this exposure is by no means essential). In return, you'll receive a leading salary and commission based on the success of projects. You'll have a chance to work with household name clients, and get exposure to (and training on) a variety of different, desirable technical skills. This can include a variety of comms protocols (from CAN to ZigBee), safety-critical development and some exposure to coding for DSPs. Required: - Experience developing C/Assembler code for embedded systems Desirable (but by no means essential!) - any of: - Formal design methodologies (UML/Yourdon, etc.) and/or model-driven development (MATLAB/Simulink, etc.) - Wired/serial comms (CAN, TCP/IP, Ethernet, I2C) - Experience of coding to stringent/safety-critical standards (MISRA, SIL, etc.).
